April marks National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Help the Rape And Incest National Network (RAINN) raise enough money to launch a 24/7 online hotline by blogging your own sexual memoirs and encouraging people to donate money to RAINN in your honor to win the Grand Prize.

Raise the most funds for RAINN for a chance to win the Grand Prize (approximate worth US$3,500.) There is no entry fee. Registration must be submitted by e-mail by 11:59pm PST April 30, 2008. Prizes: The Grand Prize Winner, Second Place Winner, and Third Place Winner will be selected according to amount of donations submitted to RAINN from among all eligible entrants. The Grand Prize Winner will receive corresponding gift basket detailed on entry page, worth approximately US$3,500; the Second Place Winner will receive corresponding gift basket detailed on entry page, worth approximately US$900; and the Third Place Winner will receive corresponding gift basket detailed on entry page, worth approximately US$500. The weekly writing prizes are valued at US$150.
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
No Purchase Necessary. Blogger may enter by e-mailing gbbmc2008@gmail.com. All contestants must reside in the United States of America and Canada. There is no entry fee. Entry e-mail must be dated and timed by 11:59pm PST on April 30, 2008. Upon receipt of entry e-mail, two graphics promoting the fundraiser and a corresponding link (http://kapgar.typepad.com/my_weblog/gbbmc2008.html) will be e-mailed to blogger and must be displayed on blogger’s website for the duration of the fundraiser. One graphic is 350 pixels wide and the other is 150 pixels wide. Only one graphic need be used and the choice is up to the individual blogger, but one must be displayed for the duration of the contest. Blogger must agree to post a sexually-related essay a minimum of once per week for the duration of the fundraiser (April 1 to 30, 2008). Content of the post is at the discretion of the blogger. Content must be original works from the blogger themselves. Content will not be judged by RAINN – only amount of donations are subject to audit by a representative of RAINN. If blogger chooses not to follow the contest rules, blogger will be removed from the entrant listing on the info page and disqualified from the fundraiser. No monies pledged to RAINN will be returned upon blogger disqualification.
Winners will be determined by the amount of donations pledged directly to RAINN in the blogger’s name, and will be recounted by a representative of RAINN. Judges' decisions are final. Taxes are the responsibility of the Winners. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, misdirected, or delayed donations or for technical, hardware, software, communications network, website, Internet, or ISP malfunctions, errors, injuries, or failures of any kind arising from, related to, or resulting from participating in this Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not able to be conducted as planned, because of circumstances or causes, which, in Sponsors' opinion, affect the security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsors reserve the right to modify or cancel the Contest.
Any Winner who cannot be easily located at e-mail address used for entry will forfeit prize. Depending on the value of the prize, Winner may be required to provide Driver's License or other government-issued identification number for verification. By acceptance of prize, Winner consents to use of his/her name and/or photograph and/or website for publicity purposes without further compensation.
All funds donated to RAINN remain the property of RAINN. All content posts remain the property of the entrant. They may be edited and re-published with credit in co-branded posts used to publicize and support the fundraiser. Employees of RAINN, Carly Milne and Kevin Apgar ("Sponsors"), their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, suppliers, and the families of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local regulations apply. Names of Winners will be posted on kapgar.typepad.com, carlymilne.net and rainn.org.
